It’s been forty minutes since I’ve been up. I’ve spent that time answering the various Whatsapp messages that I missed overnight, browsing through Instagram notifications, and scrolling through an endless Twitter feed that adds nothing to my day. Children and adults use the time they can spare from ‘required activities’ in different ways. Some of them come pre-approved by the all-knowing public, while others are in constant debate. There has been one debate building and festering for years regarding outdoor play versus indoor play with positive development in mind. Once, a man was walking on the banks of river Ganga in East India. He was satisfied, happy and his life was beautiful. As he was strolling around, he saw a Block of Gold floating down the stream on wooden plank in the river. Considering himself lucky, he swam towards the block and caught hold of it.
